Ostensorium is a vessel in which the consecrated Host presents itself for adoration, designed to exhibit objects of piety.The work is placing the viewer in a spiritual state through generating a personal prayer-like audio experience, asking the participant to submit and open up to it, thus surpassing the realm of the ordinary. It is an unconventional reliquary, investigating both religious objects' conjectured powers and the effect these powers manifest in the viewer, the piece is playing on the juxtaposition of belief in the higher workings, the transcendental qualities of an object versus the scientific methodologies behind them.
